Southwood

Located in the Southwood Mobile Home Community off 5th Street Extended, the Southwood Boys & Girls Club serves over 220 members per year. The organization’s first Club in Albemarle County, the Southwood Club has expanded three times since opening in 2000 to accommodate growing community needs. Many Southwood Club staff are Club alums, creating a culture rich in Club pride. Since 2020, three of Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Virginia’s Youth of the Year (leadership-oriented competition for high school members) have been Southwood Club members. After their program block, many Southwood Club members can be found playing competitive soccer games on the Club’s outdoor sport court.
