GIVING SOCIETIES

The Jeremiah Milbank Society
Jeremiah Milbank was a humble man who inspired greatness in others. His truest legacy has been his children, and their children, who continue to support causes that were close to his heart. His son, Jeremiah Milbank Jr., was recruited by President Herbert Hoover to join the Board of Governors for the national organization where he became a guiding force in shaping the Boys & Girls Club Movement. In turn, Jeremiah Jr. passed on his passion for serving youth to his own children. Today, Jeremiah Milbank III serves on the national Board of Governors.
Jeremiah Milbank gave of himself generously. His extraordinary and life-long concern for youth and those less fortunate has changed the lives of millions and is the inspiration for The Jeremiah Milbank Society.
The Jeremiah Milbank Society is a national recognition society for individuals who give $10,000 or more to a local Club. Only unrestricted individual gifts of $10,000 or more to a single Club conducting It Just Takes One will be eligible for membership. Madison Investors
Each year, the Madison Club’s Advisory Board strives to identify individuals willing to contribute the amount equal to the cost of one child for a whole year at the Club. Founded in 2008, the Madison Club has developed a strong local reputation for its outstanding partnership with the school district. In a traditional year, we ask friends in our community to invest $1,750 to cover the cost of one or more children in the Club. This year, due to added costs of adapting our programs and staff due to COVID-19, we are asking for increased support as we navigate these difficult times. It is estimated the cost of serving one child at the Club will increase to more than $3,500 due to the added cost of running a full day program – more staff and longer hours – and implementing safety protocols, including cleaning and the purchase of PPE.
Please consider joining the many champions of our kids by serving as a 2021 Investor. Together, with your commitment, the Boys & Girls Club of Madison can reduce the stress on our community by providing essential services for families who need us most.
